i installed ntop (logged into the gui as root). when i run it from the terminal i immediately get an error, "Error opening terminal: vt100"

being a cli newbie, i saw in Terminal's prefs, two vt100 options which i enabled, opened a new term and tried again. Same error. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
