Since I have to provide XDarwin with a keymapping file anyway, is there any way to make my own keymapping that puts all the keys where I want them? The .keymapping file format appears to be binary and unobvious, but if I hit Capslock instead of Control one more time, I'm just gonna scream. (Who the heck decided to put the Control key in between "fn" and "option", anyway? That has got to be the most awkward key placement *ever*.)

not completely binary.
just what each key actually is

just have to figure out what key 0x43 actually is to be able to change it. that, and figure which .keyboard it's actually using [none of those really sound like my laptop keyboard]
i don't suppose we'd be so lucky as to have those values corespond to ascii values of the keys?
