i read somewhere a while ago how to create symbollic links through the terminal... but i've forgotten now.

can someone help me out?

ln -s file1 file2

where file1 is the original file and file2 is the link you wish to create

ln file1 file2
is similar, except that it creates a hard link, which cannot cross filesystems...

when in doubt, use man... "man ln" will tell you all this and more.
