It would be just awesome for people who need gcc3 to compile apps (scientific apps in particular) if we could avoid the pain of compiling it ourselves. So if you guys could package up gcc-3 that would be fantastic.

yea what a pain
Im done compiling it and ill package it up ASAP.

I'd keep a copy of dev tools handy in case this causes problems. Good luck and please let me know if it works or doesnt work. http://macosx.forked.net/ports/gcc-926-3.pkg.tgz
