I'd really like to see a package installer that ALSO deposits all header files in the appropriate places, etc. for OpenSSL.

I've been trying to get PHP (latest build) compiled with SSL-enabled cURL (along with some other goodies), and am having a hell of a time, because Apple doesn't leave their headers/source in the distribution of OS X Server 10.x.

As you probably know, OpenSSL is here: http://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-0.9.6b.tar.gz

Preferably, the resulting package-install would leave the drive in the same state as if I'd downloaded it and compiled it successfully myself. Other apps that I am able to compile on my own hunt around for OpenSSL's "blowfish" headers, etc., and I'd prefer that those apps were able to find them.

No idea how big or small of a request this is ... all ./config gets me with OpenSSL is:

Operating system: Power Macintosh-whatever-Darwin
This system (Darwin) is not supported. See file INSTALL for details.

Of course, there are no helpful details in INSTALL that I can see.

So ... let me know if you think a package build like this is possible.

Thanks!

(PS -- when I click "Email Notification", I do not get e-mails notifying me. Glitch in the system?)
