Hey Peeps.

So heres my story. For some reason i cant use any other client but BitchX. Never have been able to do the ircles and snaks and the like. However, I've been having a ton of problems with BitchX and OS X Server 10.2

First off, the c19 listed on Bitchx.org isnt the standard package. I installed anyways. However, when i went to run it, it kept coming back like:

[Rhapsody:~] show% BitchX
BitchX: Command not found.
[Rhapsody:~] show%

So my friend tells me i can set the path in my .tcshrc file in my home dir. However, i really dont want to make the same entries in all of my users .tcshrc files. Does anyone have a work around for this? Anyone know when c19 is getting ported to 10.2.x? is there a new ncurses thats needed? someone drop me a line and let me know. I would greatly appriciate it.

Thanks
Mikey

Try downloading and installing this: http://www.geocities.com/markamon2000/BitchX1.0.pkg.sit

It worked for me on Mac OS X 10.1.5 and it should work on 10.2 as well

actually if that package is for pre-10.2 it should not work since apple moved where the curses library is installed.

i haven't seen any packages around for bx but much like irssi, one can install it from source using opendarwin's darwinports . i am almost certain that the fink project also has a bx port -- if installing from source is an option.
