IceWM 1.0.8, Python 2.1.1 and Sketch 0.6.10 are readily available from Fink. IceWM and Python are even available as binaries, only Sketch is still in unstable.

Fink is cool but it's not as simple as package. So I would make .pkg for really easy use. Sketch shouldn't work because Python installed by fink have not Python Imaging Library (PIL) and have not Thinker module activated. You see that fink is powerful but not enough.

pil is a separate package and Fink's python package does have Tkinter.
As for power - have you actually used Fink and especially the dselect selection frontend for binary packages? Fink has a dependency system that prevents the missing library errors many people complain about in this forum. All Fink tools automatically download everything they need. Show me that in a .pkg.
